sister gifts

For Christmas this year we took each of the girls shopping individually and let them pick out gifts for their sisters.
While it wasn't exactly the easiest thing at first for the girls to think about their sisters, they did a GREAT job of thinking about what their sisters would like.
All the girls were so thrilled with what their sisters picked out for them.
Lots of squeals and hugs!  Makes this momma so happy!

super secret mission

We were able to go out on our annual Christmas tradition of looking at lights in our p.j.'s.  We sent the girls up to get their jammies on and instead of tucking them in to bed we told them to go and get their boots on.  We got our cups filled with hot chocolate and set off to look at the lights.  When we were finished looking at the lights Presley told us she needed to use the restroom.  We pulled in to Krispy Kreme and said we were just using the restroom.  Once we were finished in their, we walked out to see our cousins!
Surprise number 2!
We were able to continue another Christmas tradition.  Donut surprise!

christmas party - school

Addy had a great time at their class Christmas party.  Lots of fun, goodies, and laughs!
One of the things she did during her party was make an ornament that was supposed to be for the parents, but Addy decided since I already saw it she would make it for Mawmaw.  : )

cocoa with santa

We took the girls to our school to have cocoa with Santa.
The girls of course added a few more (different) things to their lists.
But luckily Santa knew we needed a little help remembering what they asked for.
Santa was nice enough to send a little reminder note to us at school the next day. : )

Main Street Miracle

This past Sunday the girls participated in the Christmas musical program at church.
It was Presley's 2nd year and Addison's 1st.  They really enjoyed it and looked forward to going to practice every Thursdays (since October).
They both did a great job and we were so proud!

Greatest Gift

The girls always love going to visit their old pre-school teacher at their Greatest Gift breakfast.
First up was a visit with Santa.

And then a journey to see the animals.

Next up was a visit with their pre-school teacher who was with the Greatest Gift (baby) Jesus, Mary & Joseph.  And after a few hugs we were off to decorate cookies.

tree farm

One of the perks of being the teacher and parent of a kindergartner is that you can go on every single field trip together without taking a day off work.  ; )  Addy and I (and the rest of the kiddos) headed north to the tree farm on Monday.
First up was a stop to feed the horses.  We could have probably gotten right back on the bus at this point according to Addy.  Addy+ horses=Love.
The kiddos thought the tree farm owner had a strong resemblance to Mr. Clause.  ; )
We walked around his tree farm and learned lots about trees and what he does to take care of them.

Fun trip!

little pumpkin

Can't believe I forgot to post my little pumpkins picture of her first Halloween!
 Isn't my pumpkin adorable?
She was a bit embarrsed by her costume.
Why do you make me look so silly?
Isn't that what Moms are supposed to do???  Embarrass their "kids"?  ; )

boo!

Cousin meet up before trick-or-treating starts.
My three little treaters - the mighty lion, Pocahontas, and Jessie.

Ok, I know there is an abundance of Reese pictures, but I couldn't pick which one was the cutest.  She LOVED being a lion.

Look at that roar!!!

Pretty fierce looking, right?!

Quick stop at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's before collecting the loot.
Then back home to trick-or-treat with more cousins!

One trip around our sub-division was enough candy for us.  Ended the night with a trip for dinner to Red Robin.  Thanks cousins for coming with us!
