super star

Addy had her time to shine at her pre-school program/graduation this week.
They had a jungle safari theme this year.
I absolutely loved the songs and poems the kids do.  Miss Judy does an excellent job of putting together the perfect night.  Addy really got into the songs and motions.
This is her good friend, Kate.  They learned the "jerk."
And the "pony".
Kate and Addy sang a little duet, "Let's Go Fly a Kite."
And then Addy had a solo, "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer."
She did great.  I think she  may have had the longest solo of the night and she nailed it!  Perfect with no mistakes.
Afterwards she went back to her seat and you could see how proud she was of herself.  Love.
My Addy is all done with pre-school now and will start kindergarten in the fall.  Hard to believe, but I know she is ready and I'm ready to be her teacher!  I am so thankful she was able to go to pre-school this year.  She has learned so much and has had so much fun.  I owe a BIG thank you to A.Cindy, Mawmaw and Pawpaw for all their help coordinating pick-ups and drop-offs for Addy's pre-school.  She couldn't have gone this year if not for their willingness to help transport her.  I am forever grateful.
Thanks everyone for coming out to support Addy!

steppin up

We've been telling Presley that once she turned 6 she could have her first friend party.
She got to pick 7 friends (plus her sisters and her cousins) to come over for a party.
The weather was gorgeous and the girls were all super sweet.
Presley had such a great time.
And I think the girls did too.
The girls with their silly looks.
The whole crew.
My super-star six year old.

six

I have a SIX year old.  Wow.  Presley turned six this past Saturday and we were able to celebrate her birthday with family on her actual birthday.  The weather was on and off.  It was plenty warm but the clouds and sprinkles couldn't stay away.
Cousins.
My super sweet six year old.
Presley and Reilly.
Barbies are a hit!
Ribbons of rolled up money!
Reagan and Reilly....love Reilly's silly grin.
Presley got lots of great gifts.  She got lots of jewelry and she was thrilled.
Her new bike!

Happy Birthday to you, Presley!
We love you lots!  Thanks everyone for helping to make her day special.

"Frankie"

Meet the newest member of our family....
This is Franklin also known as Frankie.  Presley got him as an early birthday gift from the aide in our classroom.  He is a Red-Eared Slider.  We've had him for a few weeks, but just now have finally settled on a name.  So far he seems to like our home.  I know the girls sure like having him here.

field trip - picnic

Last Tuesday was Addy's last pre-school field trip.  It was a picnic at the park.

She has been talking about it for weeks.  She had gone with Presley on this field trip when Presley was in pre-school, so Addy knew what was coming up.  It was finally her turn to go with her friends.
She kept running around asking me to take her picture in places she remembered me taking Presley's picture the last 2 years.
Saying her prayers with her friends before lunch.
Mr. Raccoon showed up for his lunch while we were eating.
 Lunch time!
After lunch Miss Judy read a story to the kids who were finished while the rest of the kids finished up.
Then it was back to the playground.
 Daddy took the afternoon off.
 And so did Mommy!
So glad we were able to spend some one on one time with Addy.  Can't believe she only has the pre-school program left and then it's on to Kindergarten!

hello again, bears!

We were so happy that the Bears came out of hibernation so we could meet up again after a long winter.
The forecast didn't look promising, but it didn't stop us from having a good time.  There were plenty of scooter & golf cart rides, sidewalk chalk, walks, rides on Boo Boo's Train, and laughs.

And of course donuts too!
This weekend was Fairytale Fantasy complete with a royal ball.  My 3 little princesses were beyond excited.  Reese walked up to each of the bears and even Ranger to get a 1on 1 dance.  While dancing with Ranger, she even snuck a kiss on his chin.  ; )

Cinderella's carriage was is the shop, so the scooter took her to the ball. : )
After the ball, there was time for swimming at the indoor pool.
My girls are getting so brave in the pool.

Of course there were snuggles around the campfire too.  We had to bundle up to keep warm but at least the rain held off for some marshmallows.

Unfortunately the rain came while sleeping Saturday night and we decided to pack up a little earlier than we were planning, but we still had a great weekend and can't wait to continue on our camping adventures this summer!
