send-off

We helped send off cousin Tyler at dinner last night.
He's off for his first year at IU.  We are excited for him and for our visits to see him.  Already have our first one scheduled for early fall.  Going to camp and take in a football game.  The girls LOVE Tyler (especially Reese) and I don't think they realize how much they are going to miss having him around.
Glad to be able to see Trenton as well before he heads back to his junior year of college at North Central.  Hope to visit him sometime this year as well.
Good Luck to both of you.  We love you and are proud of you.

five

We had someone in our house turn 5.
 Pretty big news around here.
Addison Lee is our big 5 year old, and she couldn't be happier.  She's been looking forward to this birthday for a long time.  We've spread her party out over several weeks now.  We had a party while visiting up North, we celebrated with our family, cousins, and Nana on her actual birthday and now we had a big party with more cousins, aunts, uncles, mawmaw, pawpaw, and even great Grandma and Grandpa.
We celebrated at Mawmaw and Pawpaw's.  The plan was to have a pool party, but the weather didn't fully cooperate.  The girls were able to get a quick swim in before (or in the midst of) some sprinkles.  But unfortunately the sun didn't appear until well after the swimming was done.
Presley didn't seem to mind at all.  She jumped right in.
 Reags too.
Reese didn't move from the steps.  Too cold for her.
It took Reilly a bit to convince herself to jump in, but she finally braved the chilly temps.
The birthday girl jumped right in.
Presley wanted to do her own gift to Addy this year.  She found a bag from her dress-ups, decorated several sticky notes, wrote her a card and then put her own money in the bag for Addy to open at her party.  So sweet.  Addison was especially thrilled that it was a gift "only from Presley".
She got lots of fun toys and super cute outfits.
 And money to go shopping.
She chose cupcakes over a cake and we had birthday cake in ice cream cones per her request.
Love celebrating my full of life not so little girl.  Love.
Thanks Mawmaw & Pawpaw for letting us celebrate at your house and thanks everyone else who came to celebrate Addy.

camp time

Since we were up in the thumb visiting family over Addy's real birthday we decided to take her out for breakfast the morning of her birthday.
Nana came with us.
We took several trips to the snack shack for ice cream in the afternoons.
Reagan and Reilly brought Addy some balloons and other small gifts on her actual birthday.
Lots of family dinners.

And plenty of cousin time.
So glad we were able to visit family before heading back to school.

on the farm

While up camping with family in the thumb we took a trip to Papa and Great Grandma D's farm.  Papa was nice enough to get his big tractor out so the girls could take turns driving around.
They love going to the farm and I'm glad they get the opportunity.  Just wish we could do it more often and were closer.

Dirty knees are a must while on the farm.  ; )

Thanks Papa for taking us around your farm and letting us play on your tractors.
Checking out the corn fields.
After some fun outside we went in to visit with Great Grandma D.  I especially love that we get to visit her while on the farm.  That's the best part in my book.  Such a special lady...one of the BEST!
I love visiting with her, listening to her stories, and being in her house.

you scream

I scream.

 We all scream!

For ice cream!

5 years - Addison

While we were up visiting my family Addison had a big birthday.  5 years old.  Since we were together we decided to go ahead and have a small party for her.
 She got some jewelry.
 Headbands.
And some super cute outfits for her to wear to school.
Dairy Queen ice cream cake completed our party.

Happy Birthday to our big 5 year old!  We love you Addison Lee!
