 The day after Michigan Adventure we spent at one of the best rated beaches in Michigan, Pere Marquette.  We had another beautiful day.

Vacation

After celebrating the 4th of July at Yogi Bear, we came home Sunday afternoon to do some laundry and re-stock the camper and of course charge the camera battery that we discovered was dead at Yogi's.  We plugged int he camera and then we left the battery at home....charged.  So once again we had to rely on the iPhone pics. 

We were leaving Monday at noon for our vacation up and down the coast of Lake Michigan.  First stop was back to Muskegon and Michigan Adventure.  We took the kiddos last year and had a great time so we knew we wanted to go again.  Another great day weather wise... 

 Chad convinced Addison to go on the rapids ride with him...she didn't enjoy it as much as he did.  ;)

 But after they got off she was happy that she tried it.

 All 3 girls LOVED the kiddie roller coaster.  It was a bit rough for me...

 The family favorite was by far the log ride.  Actually Presley was too scared to even try so Chad took the other 2 girls first and then I took them.  I knew Presley would love it if she would just try it, so finally I told her I was going to make her try it once and then if she didn't like it she didn't have to try it again.  Plus I told her she could choose our next ride.  So with lots of tears she rode with me, and ended up LOVING it and requesting to ride it again and again...just like I knew she would.

 These girls can be the best of friends....and then let's not discuss the other times.  ;)

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at our favorite place, Jellystone Park!  Once we got there I realized that my camera battery had died, but thankfully we had the iphone to help us capture the great times!

 We tried something new this time, Mining.  The girls LOVED using the brochure to see which rocks they had discovered.

 We were there during one of the HOTTEST weeks of the summer.  We spent most of our time in the pool, even at night!

pool play date

Whew, what a GREAT summer break!  I didn't necessarily plan on taking a blogging break during July and half of August, but that's the way things worked out, and I'm perfectly ok with that.  It gave me time to just be with my family.  But now that school is quickly approaching it's time to play catch up.  First up - pool play date.

The girls were able to each invite a few friends to come and have a pool play date at Mawmaw's pool.  Presley invited her friend Ana.  And her friend Shea was already at Mawmaw's daycare so she came out to swim too! 

We had a beautiful sunny warm day.

Addison invited her friends Ayla and Olivia. (Cousin Briella was also already at Mawmaw's daycare so she was able to come to the playdate too!)

Reese invited her friend, Genna (Olivia's younger sister). 

The girls all had a great time!

Olivia and Ayla, they were both in my kindergarten class this past year and are super smart, sweet girls who were great friends to Addy.

Genna will be in my class this year!  Another sweetie that's for sure.

And of course cousin Gabi came to enjoy Mawmaw's pool too!
