labor day camping

With school starting we were ready to get in a little more summer...and that means back to camping.  We took off to our favorite campground for the long weekend.
Hair train waiting for ceramics to start.
The girls loved choosing and painting ceramics for the first time.  Such concentration.

Finished products.
Picture time with the Bears.
Boo-Boo train rides.
Tie-dying for the first time.
Mining for fossils and gems.

Fishing.

Swimming.

And lots of family fun!

first day 2012-2013

First day of 1st grade for Addy.

And 2nd grade for Presley.
Pres didn't really care to be bothered with pictures...she just wanted to get to school. ha.

But Addison on the other hand was loving the pictures.

School is off to a great start!  Both girls are loving their classes and teachers...homework...not so much!

addy turns 6!

Miss Addy turned 6!
We had planned on a swimming party at Mawmaw's house, but the weather just didn't want to cooperate.  Too chilly.  Plans changed and we had everyone over at our house instead.
Mawmaw knows Addison well...maybe her favorite gift?
The girl has a definite sweet tooth!!!
Happy Birthday Miss Addison!  We love you and are so thankful for the joy you bring into our family!

let's go TIGERS!

While up north we were able to take in a Detroit Tigers baseball game.
So fun!  Tigers vs. Yankees
AND the Tiger's WIN!!!

field trip - dairy farm

While we were up in the thumb visiting family we took a little field trip.  We went to a friend of Nana's dairy farm.
The girls had a blast seeing all the baby cows.  Most of the calves were anywhere from 1 day old to 3 months.
Addy, my little animal lover.  After we left she was telling me a story about her "best cow friend...."
Each of the girls got the chance to bottle feed the baby calves.
And they LOVED having the calves slobber all over their hands like a pacifier.

Kissing cows.
After feeding the baby calves we headed over to where the "teenageers" were eating.

And then finally saw the "Mama's and the Papa's".  The girls had a great time.  Thanks Nana for setting this awesome trip up.  Presley has now decided she would like to grow up and live on a dairy farm...  ha.
