Because we purchased a new camper this summer, we decided that we were going to use it as much as possible this summer. We also decided that our vacation this year would be somewhere where we could pull the camper and stay in it. We decided to head up the coast of Michigan. Our first stop was Duck Creek RV Resort in Muskegon. As soon as we set up camp, the girls wanted to see the splash pad and pool.
It had a zero entry splash pad/pool that was perfect for Reese.
The next morning when we got up we noticed Reese's ankle was swollen and bruised and she didn't want to put much weight on it. We aren't exactly sure how she did it, probably when riding her scooter (though she didn't say a word about it to us when it happened) but she obviously sprained it. She could still move it, so we knew it wasn't broken. We decided to kind of have a low key day. No beach. We hung around the pool most of the day and then after her nap we headed out to find Craig's Cruisers. The girls had fun with go-karts.
Addy was in her serious race mode. Take no prisoners.
Reese wasn't big enough to drive her own go-kart so Daddy took her for a spin. But she had a small steering wheel on her side so she really thought she was driving.
After go-karts we all headed over to the bumper boats. Reese and Chad were on a boat, Addy and I, and then Presley had her own boat.
Next up was time for feeding fish.
And finally before we left we stopped for some snacks. Push-ups for the girls. How is it that they've never had one?! Addy kept saying how she loved the "suck-ups". : )
Before we made our way back to the camper we stopped off at the beach to catch the sunset (and some shells).
So far so good....and we've only just begun.
