Early Friday morning we headed to Indy to check out the zoo. It had been several years since Chad and I had visited this zoo with our nephews and a lot had changed.
We were able to see lots of animals even though the weather was really warm. The giraffes were a favorite of course.
Look how cute!
There was even a baby giraffe.
The rhino was "ginormous"...according to Addy.
Not sure why this picture is so fuzzy, but it's my only group shot, so here it is.
The cheetahs were all sleeping lazily in the grass as we stood watching them and then all at once they all sat up and stared at the same spot....must have heard some sound that caught their attention.
The elephants were a big hit too, especially the baby.
By this time we had visited almost all of the animals outside and had gotten pretty sweaty so we headed inside to check out more animals (in the air conditioning).
First up in the air was the dolphins.
Next up was the shark tank.
All of us were able to "pet" the sharks at least once - even Reesey.
Finally it was time for us to watch the dolphin show.
All of the girls were excited to see this show and clapped along to the music.
After the show we headed to the hotel to get ready to go see cousin Tyler's football game. He was chosen to play in the North South All-Star game. We relaxed in the hotel room for an hour or so before heading out to tailgate for a bit before the game.
Tyler had a great game but unfortunately his team lost. We had a lot of fun anyways and of course are very proud of all of Tyler's accomplishments both on and off the football field.
